Mycenae – Nafplio – Epidaurus: A trip that will enchant you. After a first stop at the Isthmus of Corinth (ideal spot for photographs) and driving through the thousands of vineyards in Nemea, we arrive at Mycenae, where we will visit the Cyclopean Walls, the Lions Gate and the Royal Achaean tombs. Our next stop is Nafplio, the first capital of the Greek state. We will admire the city from above, climbing the 999 steps leading to Palamidi, and we will take a break for lunch at one of the local taverns with a magnificent view towards Bourtzi, the tiny island situated in the port of Nafplio with its Venetian fortress. Our final stop is at the ancient theater of Epidaurus, with its unique natural acoustics, where wonderful performances are staged during the summer months until today.
