About George
The person behind the wheel, the voice on WhatsApp, and the one who will be waiting for you at arrivals.
Why I do this
My name is George and I have been driving the streets of Athens for years. I was born here, I grew up here, and I know this city like the back of my hand — every shortcut, every backstreet, every route that avoids the traffic.
I made a deliberate choice to work on my own rather than drive for a fleet. The reason is simple: when you book with a company, you never know who will show up. You might get a different driver every time, someone who does not know your name, your preferences, or why you prefer to be dropped at a particular entrance. I wanted to offer something different.
When you book with me, you deal with me — from the first WhatsApp message to the moment I carry your bags to the door. I remember returning clients. I know who prefers a quiet ride and who wants to chat about Athens. That consistency is something a rotating roster of drivers simply cannot match.
One driver, one car, undivided attention.
The car
I drive a Mercedes station wagon — and I chose it for a reason. Most taxis in Athens are saloons. They work fine for two people with a carry-on each, but the moment you add a family, a couple of large suitcases, or a bike box, things get uncomfortable.
My wagon seats four passengers comfortably and fits four large suitcases in the back with room to spare. It is air-conditioned, non-smoking, and kept meticulously clean. Whether you are a family arriving at the airport with a week's worth of luggage, a cyclist with a bike box, or a group heading to the port with dive gear, this car was built for the job.
- 4 passengers + 4 large suitcases
- Full air conditioning
- Non-smoking vehicle
- Bike box and oversized luggage friendly
The cycling connection
Before I got behind the wheel of a taxi, I was on two wheels. I was a competitive cyclist, and that experience shaped how I think about transport in ways most drivers would not consider.
I know what it feels like to hand over a carbon frame worth thousands of euros to someone and hope they treat it with care. I have been on both sides of that exchange. That is exactly why I started offering dedicated bike transport — because I understand the anxiety and I know how to handle bikes properly. I do not stack them in a boot and hope for the best. I load them carefully, secure them, and deliver them without a scratch.
If you are coming to Greece for cycling, I can also point you toward the best routes, connect you with the local riding community, and get you to the start line on time. It is not just a service — it is something I genuinely care about.
